Based on the Music and Themes Of:

  1. Ring a Ring o’ Roses – Alice Gomme
  2. Lincolnshire Posy – Percy Aldridge Grainger
  3. Pocketful of Posies – Daniel Montoya Jr.

DESCRIPTION

Lincolshire Posy is considered to be Grainger’s masterwork for wind band. It is based on folk songs collected in Lincolnshire, England and is intended as a collection of “musical wildflowers” reflective not only of the songs but of the singers who sang them to Grainger and their personalities.

Taking the tunes, motives, and themes of this iconic work, Pocketful of Posies is a classical reinvention featuring fresh vitality, dramatic elements, and vibrant compositional moments. This new collection of “musical wildflowers” will surprise musicians, audience members, and judges alike.

Pocketful of Posies features all original & public domain music with no additional copyright fees.
